    POLYGARD Polycarbonate Double Glazed Sealed Units. Clear solid sheet hard surface coated abrasion, chemical and weather resistant Lexan Margard MRX polycarbonate is the ideal material for double glazed sealed units where cleaning with industrial cleaners is required.

    The hard coated surface allows the easy removal of graffiti and cleans like glass.

    Polycarbonate is ideal for manufacturing 'shaped' units as it can be cut into any shape without splintering or cracking.

     

    Hard Coated polycarbonate is ideally suited for use as factory glazing as a substitute for glass, particularly in food preparation factories where health and safety, and hygiene are a priority.

    Over 200 times stronger and half the weight of glass hard coated Lexan Margard MRX has:

    • 10 year limited warranty on breakage.
    • 5 year limited warranty on loss of light transmission.
    • 5 year limited warranty on hard surface coating failure.

  • Sealed Unit Make Up

    Our units are manufactured using the industry recognized 'Duraseal warm edge spacer bar. This spacer bar is an 'all in one' spacer incorporating desiccant and sealant in one product. It gives excellent bonding and adhesion with superior moisture retention. This system has been rigorously tested and allows us to give our PolyGard units and our HammerGard Low E glass units with our 5 year guarantee against misting up inside the the unit.

    Duraseal® is a warm-edge spacer system ideal for high-volume production of dual- and triple-pane insulating glass.
    Duraseal is pre-assembled with proven components, sealant, spacers and desiccant to create a high-performance system. Other features:
